Barone played Gail Cunningham (a chef) in The Shoes of Seinfeld, the season 4 episode. Barone was looking for Elaine Benes' shoes. Barone was also a part-time cast member on Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 1990s. Barone was also Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex-wife in her first Friends' appearance. Jane Sibbett was her replacement when Barone quit Friends in pursuit of a new role which required more time. She was a part of The Jeff Foxworthy Show's first season from 1995 to 1996 and The War at Home, between 2005 and 2007. Barone was also co-starring in Daddio. Barone has also appeared in Desperate housewives and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
