Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My son played inside a playpen, while I worked 12-hour days cleaning the floors, as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! It was all starting to take shape, however it wasn't quite finished. The house would need an enormous amount of work and a love for shopping. To stay within my budget I took my kids along with me as I searched for gems hidden in estate sales. It was a weekly tradition that we would go through garage and estate sales on Thursdays and Saturdays buying a mixture of new and old pieces. Then I would spend the rest of my time painting and sanding out in the driveway. The look was a little like the following... Here's the place where my passion for restoring antique furniture started. I continued to work on furniture long after we decorated our house. There was a spot on the market in town that I could sell my items. In the end, I was stuffed with too numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available. At home, I began hosting open houses in which more than 1000 guests could visit and buy any item they wanted on the first floor over the course of a weekend. Growing Days is the result of all this. Alongside my flourishing business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. It was like I was able to find the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and starting my new company. Growing Days was the obvious decision. Nora my 4th child was born in 2013. My business was going well but I was in need of a break. I decided to take some break from my antique furniture and stay at home with the kids. That was exactly what I was looking for at the time. In the course of a few months, the phone began to start to. I began receiving calls from people asking me for help in home improvement and interior design. A majority of these were the ones who had strolled through my home during the open houses for furniture! It wasn't long before I managed a large-scale house renovation business. The first step was to take clients one by one at a pace that I was comfortable with. It is likely that I would have been laughing if someone had told me the business was going to be part of a forthcoming TV show that airs on the DIY Network. It's fun to reflect to the idea.
